Before Endodontic Treatment
This procedure will be performed using local anesthesia. There are usually no restrictions after the procedure concerning driving or returning to work. A doctor is available for consultation at all times should a problem arise after your treatment.
Continue all medications
It is important to continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems and any other conditions as recommended by your physician. If there is a question, please call our office prior to your appointment.
Please eat a full breakfast or lunch as applicable
Getting enough to eat prior to your procedure at Edwards Endodontics may help patients feel more comfortable during and after treatment. As it may be difficult to chew immediately after your visit it can be helpful if you do not have to eat for a time period.
When possible, avoid pain meds such as Ibuprophen before your first visit
If you take pain medication such as ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve), or similar within 6 hrs. prior to your first diagnostic visit, it can make it more difficult to properly determine the extent of your needs. Please call us if you have any questions or concerns about this and we can work out a solution with you.
